What is Fencing?

• Fencing is the sport of sword fighting.
• Two opponents compete on an elevated piste. 
• The 3 disciplines are FOIL, EPEE & SABRE
• The goal is to score a valid touch on your opponent.

Valor Fencing Academy (VFA) has been established since year 2020 and caters fencing program for fencers of all ages and abilities. Founded by dedicated coaches which were ex-nationals and Olympian's fencer Mr Husnul Ariq and Mr Yu Peng Kean, VFA intensively provides lesson service to improve technical skill and tactical knowledge. Coach Husnul being a former national fencer (2002-2014) has participated and is an experienced coach.Coach Yu being a former national fencer (2006-2017) has represented Malaysia to London Olympic Games in 2012. He had polished up his skills since 2004, with more than 13 years of experience in his favorite sport and had leart a lot valuable knowledge in life throughout his fencing pathway. Coach Husnul and Coach Yu are extremely hard-working ,determined and willing to sacrifice in order to strive in their goals. VFA offers a broad range of fencing lessongs and courses such as Learn to Fence, Skill Correction Programme, Group Training Session for beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced fencers as well as Adults Fencing Session for those who would like to learn to fence or stay fit through fencing. VFA has various stages of fencing programme to meet each and every individual need. The main focus of the academy is to foster high discipline, develop better leadership skills, confidence and teamwork abilities in every fencer. All programme were introduced in a fun and imagination way. VFA wish to develop more talented fencer to represent the state and country. VFA will also provide the best knowledge and skills for anyone who wants to learn fencing in all sorts of reason be it - life skill, health, and personal empowerment etc. VFA will provide the best and fun fencing lessons that suit your needs.
